Different mooring applications call for different line characteristics. My Yacht stocks two complementary options — a proven heavy-duty polyamide braid and a floating Dyneema® composite — both selected for Australian conditions.
16-plait polyamide braid construction provides exceptional abrasion resistance at fairleads and cleats — where most dockline wear occurs in busy marina berths.
The 16-plait braid construction makes these lines particularly easy to splice — ideal for creating custom eye terminations on-site or when ordering spliced ends through My Yacht.
The Armare Novus DYN+PP is described as "extremely flexible and light, easily maneuverable" — a genuine handling advantage over heavier polyamide lines, especially for single-handed sailors or in tight marina berths.
The Armare Novus DYN+PP is specifically engineered for floatable moorings and towing lines — the Dyneema® core provides strength, while the PP component gives it buoyancy and elongation for comfort.
Orders of 26mm and above include the option for leather chafe guard eyes — protecting the rope at the point of highest wear for long-term mooring and offshore passage preparation.
